<br />Chairperson Levine called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 7:33 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Gladhill explained that the findings of fact noted that the limitation would be <br />placed on the number and discouraged the Commission from limiting based on the breed. He <br />advised that if the Commission felt it necessary they could limit the poundage ofthe dogs. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brauer reviewed the will and will not conditions and suggested adding language <br />for one additional dog or cat to be housed temporarily on the property. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Gladhill advised that the City does not regulate the number of cats, so that <br />portion would not need to be included. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Dunaway, seconded by Commissioner Hunt, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Findings of Fact relating to the Applicants' request for a Conditional Use 'Permit <br />for a private dog kennel for four dogs, with one additional temporary care dog, at 6738 153rd <br />LaneNW. . <br /> <br />Further discussion: Commissioner Brauer thought that the fact that Mrs. Topero was a veterinary <br />technician, who is required to temporarily house dogs for her work, should be included in the <br />findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Cleveland, to amend the motion <br />on the table to include a statement to the findings of fact which states Mrs. Topero is a veterinary <br />technician, who is required to temporarily house up to one additional dog. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. V oting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Brauer, Cleveland, Dunaway, <br />Hunt, and Rogers. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Van Scoy. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. V oting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Dunaway, Hunt, Commissioners Brauer, <br />Cleveland, and Rogers. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Van Scoy. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Gladhill advised that an amendment would need to be made to the second <br />condition to allow up to five dogs, one being temporary. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Cleveland, seconded by Commissioner Dunaway, to recommend that <br />City Council adopt grant approval of the Conditional Use Permit based on the Findings of Fact, <br />declaring terms of the same. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. V oting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Cleveland, Dunaway, Brauer, <br />Hunt, and Rogers. Voting No: None.
