FORESTClTY

STAPLETON

City of Ramsey Town Center Proposal

Forest City's redevelopment
~
of the former Stapleton
International Airport in Denver
is a model of mixed-use and
diversity, sustainability and smart
growth. It is an excellent example
of how Forest City's strategy
thrives in large-scale, mixed-use
developments by using creativity,
diversification and consistency
to make a difference in cities like
Denver. Stapleton is the largest
urban infill and development
project in the United States,
covering over 2,gOO acres. It will
offer a diverse urban tapestry
of homes, shops, offices, parks
and schools, all centrally located minutes from downtown Denver. Forest City's experience in all
aspects of development (commercial, residential and land) won the company the right to redevelop
this site for the 21.st century. Forest City
also brought access to capital, national I'
real estate development expertise, and
a commitment to affordable housing,
sustainable development and minority
participation. Forest City's ability to
partner with government agencies is an
important aspect of this project. In line
with Denver's historic tradition, Stapleton
models the diverse, pedestrian friendly
neighborhoods of the past - where tree-
lined streets, numerous parks, traditional
architecture and front porches enhance the
character of the community, while, at the
same time, is "wired" for the technology of
the 21.st century.

r

1~

J

Stapleton

Denver, CO

2001.

2900 acres

Master Planned
Development

MajoliTenants ,References:

Bass Pro, Macy's, Harkins
Theatres, Walmart, Home
Depot, Office - High Density
Residential, 4,000 homes

Michael B Hancock /
Councilman
City and County of Denver City
Council District 11
303.331.3872 / michael.
ha n cock@denvergov.org

[Z]
