<br />Mitchell Cookas, AS LA <br />Senior sustainability Consultant <br /> <br />Mitchell provides 8 years of widespread experience in landscape design, project management, <br />public speaking, drafting and environmental consulting. His work experience includes involve- <br />ment with several public, private and municipal organizations. Mitchell is a volunteer member <br />of the Minnesota Design Team (MDT) and has participated in multiple community design and <br />planning workshops including those in Rushford, MN and LaCrescent, MN in 2008. <br /> <br />Mitchell has worked on numerous projects varying in size from a quarter-acre residence, to a <br />"Big-Box" retailer expansion project, to a community-visioning plan. His ability to effectively <br />communicate and work as a team member has been a key factor in his success. <br /> <br />Mitchell received his Master's degree of Landscape Architecture (MLA) and his Bachelor's de- <br />gree of Environmental Design (BED) from the University of Minnesota. While completing his <br />graduate course work, he worked as a research assistant and contributed to University envi- <br />ronmental research. Mitchell is also a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects <br />(ASLA) . <br /> <br />Mitchell's diverse academic and professional experiences allow him to effectively collaborate <br />with a combination of engineers, designers, developers, municipalities and other industry pro- <br />fessionals.
