Sustainable/Green Development

BBPe worked with the City of Long Branch and a designer to create a conceptual plan for the Long
Branch Pier and Feny Terminal. Rebuilding a Pier that was destroyed by a fire in 1987, this project will
create a multi-modal infrastructure asset that will link the region with New York City and serve as an
example of sustainable design. When complete it is expected that the structure will be NET-ZERO
building, meaning it generates more energy than it consumes. The design of the project will take full
advantage of the Pier's location, harnessing wind, wave, and solar energy. A key component of the de-
sign of the project is the inclusion of educational exhibits that demonstrate how the sustainable energy
technology works.

Basile Baumann Prost Cole & Associates, Inc.

Public/Private Development Advisors
