In conjunction with major development in
Tower City, BBPC Associates evaluated the potential surrounding areas as it relates to hotel, office and
retail development. BBPC Associates' recommendations in the Tower City/Public Square area were
instrumental in attracting new hotel development as part of a large mixed-use development, In the Ohio
City Station west of the downtown, BBPC Associates conducted development planning and
programming for both station location and area revitalization. Significant reinvestment was made to the
historic West Side Market in Ohio City and plans have been formulated to relocate the station in better
proximity to the West Side Market. BBPC Associates now provides ongoing assistance to the City of
Cleveland and several quasi-public development corporations in evaluating the development impact of
the proposed dual-hub corridor,

Washington, DC

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMA T A) operates one of the largest and
newest rapid transit systems in the Nation. With construction of the system expected to continue into
the 1990s, BBPC Associates was hired by WMA T A to evaluate the development potential around two
major stations located in suburban Montgomery County, Maryland, and two stations in the District, The
District government hired BBPC Associates to evaluate four stations in the District, Arlington County,
the City of Alexandria and Montgomery County have all engaged BBPC Associates to evaluate Metro
potential. In suburban Virginia, the Fairfax County Office of Comprehensive Planning retained BBPC
Associates to undertake a similar evaluation around four metro stations located in two separate transit
corridors within Fairfax County.

BBPC Associates is currently evaluating the economic and joint development impact of extending transit
from Addison Road to Bowie in Prince Georges County as part of an EAIDEIS study.
