<br />bbpc <br /> <br />Basile Baumann Prost Cole & Associates, Inc. <br />Public/Private Development Advisors <br /> <br />approved and adopted the program which currently generates $6 million per year in land lease revenues <br />to the State. <br /> <br />Taipei, Taiwan <br /> <br />BBPC Associates was engaged by the Republic of China to evaluate economic development impacts and <br />public/private sector development opportunities related to a new region-wide underground rapid rail <br />transit system, BBPC Associates examined transportation-related development opportunities and helped <br />formulate an overall implementation and private sector participation strategy, Subsequent analyses <br />focused major mixed-use opportunities for a 32-acre site located at the intersection of two major rapid <br />rail lines and the Central Commuter Rail Station. BBPC Associates formulated a $2.5-billion <br />development program with approximately 12 million square feet of office and commercial space. <br />Alternative land disposition policies were identified. The client is moving forward with the project with <br />the Central Rail Station completed and the Rapid Rail under construction including significant <br />underground retail space as the first phase of the mixed-use public/private sector development project, <br /> <br />OTHER TRANSPORTATION ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />Jacksonville, Florida <br /> <br />BBPC Associates was retained by the Port Authority in Jacksonville to analyze the feasibility of <br />constructing new air terminal facilities. With the rapid growth in commuter traffic to the southeast, <br />particularly Florida, the Port Authority was in stiff competition with other major transportation <br />authorities in the region to attract maintenance and repair facilities. BBPC Associates prepared market <br />and financial feasibility analyses, as well as funding strategies, which were used by the Board of Directors <br />of the Port Authority in preparing a business approach to attract Air Florida, a new and rapidly growing <br />airline, to the Jacksonville area. <br /> <br />Louisville, Kentucky <br /> <br />As part of the consultant team, BBPC Associates was retained by a transit authority and a regional <br />government agency to recommend improvements in transportation services and facilities in downtown <br />Louisville. An action program was recommended which involved the adoption of a transit circulator <br />system around the core of the downtown and development of a major transportation center with <br />combined mixed-use/joint development opportunities, Additionally, a rubber-tired special shuttle-bus <br />system, similar to that currently operating in Denver, has been proposed for operation along the Fourth <br />Street Mall.
