ADOPT ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.30 (PURCHASING POLICY) OF CITY <br />CODE <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br />Background: <br />At the October 27, 2009 Council work session, an updated purchasing policy was presented that <br />also included the procedures required in submitting a Request for Proposal (RFP). The proposed <br />purchasing policy reflects the purchasing guidelines that the city needs to follow for any <br />purchase made within the city. <br />City Council directed staff to amend the section applicable to the number of quotes required for <br />those items greater than $5,000 and not requiring an RFP, from two quotes to three quotes. <br />The purchasing policy with requested amendments was introduced by City Council at its regular <br />meeting of November 10, 2009. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends adoption of Ordinance 09 -XX Amending Section 3.30 (Purchasing Policy) of <br />City Code. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to waive the reading of Ordinance #09 -XX per City Charter and Motion to adopt <br />Ordinance 09 -XX Amending Section 3.30 (Purchasing Policy) of City Code. <br />Roll Call Vote: Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jeff Wise <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator: <br />CC: 11/24/09 <br />Cose S <br />
