CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, in <br />the Alexander Ramsey Room at 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />Mayor Bob Ramsey <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Colin McGlone <br />Councilmember Jeff Wise <br />City Administrator Kurtis G. Ulrich <br />Deputy City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Director of Public Works Brian Olson <br />Planning Manager Amber Miller <br />City Attorney Bill Goodrich <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the special meeting of the City Council to order at 11:00 p.m. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey and seconded by Councilmember Wise to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Wise, Dehen, <br />Elvig, Look and McGlone. Voting No: None. <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />Case #1: Consider Phase II Parking Ramp Design Services <br />Director of Public Works Olson stated that the City obtained a Congestion Mitigation Air <br />Quality Program (CMAQ) grant in 2006 to add 200 stalls to the existing parking ramp. <br />The grant is in the amount of $3.5 million and sunsets in March 2010. A proposal was <br />received from LSA Design. When this case was presented to Council in September of <br />this year, Council requested that additional proposals be solicited. That was done and a <br />proposal was received from Walker Parking Consultants. Both proposals were reviewed <br />at the September 29 Finance Committee meeting and staff was asked to contact LSA <br />Special City Council Meeting — October 6, 2009 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
