Further discussion: Councilmemher Wise noted if the property went to foreclosure, the assessment did not go away. Councilmember McGlone stated if this property were sold, the assessment would be paid off. City Attorney Goodrich responded the assessment could be a part of the bargaining and would be dealt with by the title company. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers Look, Wise, Dehen, and McGlone. Voting No: None. Case #2: Adopt Ordinance to Adopt Newly Codified City Code City Attorney Goodrich reviewed the staff report. Councilmember Dehen stated he understood this was a good thing, but how was the City guaranteed the changes would be made when this was turned over to an outside company. City Attorney Goodrich responded he and the department heads had reviewed the documents carefully and to the best of his knowledge, it was accurate. He noted as a resource, the City still had available all. of the original statutes. Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Wise, to adopt Ordinance #09-15 adopting and enacting a new Code for the City of Ramsey; providing for the repeal of certain ordinances not included therein; providing for the manner of amending such Code; and providing when such Code and this ordinance shall become effective.
