He began <br />his career with JAS Consultants in 2006 as Building and Safety Manager. Mr. <br />Buchanan's position combines Management and Technical duties such as, overseeing of <br />job progress and status, completing assignments and duties, as well as being liaison <br />between City Officials and Developers. <br /> <br />In addition to his extensive experience in supervising projects he has worked in many <br />Building Departments in several capacities inspecting tract homes, commercial <br />construction, as well as performing plan check and training inspection personnel. Ric is a <br />member of many ICC chapters throughout the Country and holds a Board of Director's <br />position with the County Building Officials Association of California. <br /> <br />Mr. Darin Whatcott, RA <br />Building Official <br />Midwest Area Manager, JAS Consultants, Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Darin Whatcott is currently assigned to our Iowa office; he brings to JAS <br />Consultants over fifteen years of Building & Safety experience. including twelve years as <br />Building Official. He began with JAS Pacific as the Building & Safety Director for Reno <br />Nevada before being transferred to the corporate office. <br /> <br />August of 2007 saw Darin being promoted and is currently serving as the Building <br />Official and Structural Plans Examiner for JAS Consultants for the State of Iowa. <br /> <br />3 <br />
