<br />C-IO <br /> <br />REPORT FROM PUBLIC WORKS <br />By: Public Works Staff <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Public Works Committee met on Tuesday, November 17,2009 and discussed the following <br />three cases: <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion to approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Driveway at 17811 Erkium Street <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mary Hjelm, 17811 Erkium Street, stated she has had an issue with her driveway since 2001 <br />when the overlay was put down. She noted last December 28 when she went out to get her <br />paper, she fell on the part of the raised road, which is higher than her driveway and broke three <br />bones in her ankle. She stated her biggest concern was if the City did another overlay and if the <br />same thing was done, it would make her driveway worse. She stated she would like to have the <br />overlay into a nice gradual transition into her driveway. She indicates she did not want <br />patchwork done. <br /> <br />Various members of staff have viewed this driveway approach along with others in her <br />subdivision on more than one occasion and have consistently and unanimously found them to be <br />acceptable. . <br /> <br />Staff recommends that Committee members view the site in person, if possible. Staff is <br />requesting City Council to make a final decision on this matter. <br /> <br />Motion to recommend that the City Council adopt staff s recommendation that no further action <br />is necessary. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Review Dennis Sharp Stormwater Utility Charges <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Dennis Sharp requested a review of the stormwater utility charges at 14000 Sunfish Lake <br />Boulevard, 6451 McKinley Street and 6250 Bunker Lake Boulevard in May 2009. All three are <br />under common ownership and have similar building and parking configurations. The review was <br />
