MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DESIGN GUIDELINES AND STANDARDS <br /> <br />3. Pedestrian Access and Circulation <br /> <br />Minimum Width <br /> <br />All on-site pedestrian walkways and sidewalks shall be a minimum of four feet <br />(4') wide, except walkways adjacent to a parking area, where cars may <br />overhang the walkway, shall be a minimum of six feet (6') wide. <br /> <br />Pedestrian Connections <br /> <br />An on-site system of pedestrian walkways shall be designed to provide direct <br />access and connections to and between the following: <br /> i. The primary entrance or entrances to each principal multi-family building; <br /> ii. To any sidewalks or walkways on adjacent properties that extend to the <br /> boundaries shared with the multi-family development; <br /> <br /> iii. Any sidewalk system along the perimeter streets adjacent to the multi-family <br /> development (see subsection C.3.d. below); <br /> <br /> iv. Any adjacent commercial land uses, including but not limited to retail <br /> shopping centers, office buildings, restaurants, or personal service <br /> establishments; and <br /> <br /> v.
