Sub-community facilities intended to serve the ~articular multi-family <br /> building, such as mail centers. <br /> <br />Connections to Perimeter Street <br /> <br />Connections between the on-site (internal) pedestrian walkway network and any <br />public sidewalk system located along adjacent perimeter streets shall be <br />provided at an average spacing or 1,320.feet along the perimeter street, in this <br />way, pedestrians along the perimeter public streets will be able to find a <br />sidewalk connection into the interior walkway system without walking more than <br />one-quarter (¼) mile along the perimeter street. <br /> <br />Connection Markings <br /> <br />Each point at which the on-site pedestrian walkway system must cross a parking <br />lot or internal street or driveway to make a required connection shall be clearly <br />marked through the use of change in paving materials, height, or distinctive <br />colors. <br /> <br />D. PARKING <br /> <br />Intent <br /> <br />The following parking standards for multi-family developments are intended to <br />reduce the predominance and visibility of parking lots and covered parking from <br />perimeter streets; improve the appearance of parking lots, especially through <br />increased landscaping; and ensure that dwelling units have convenient access to <br />parking. <br /> <br />Parking Amount and Type <br /> <br />a. Parking shall be provided in the following amounts (s/u = number of spaces per <br /> dwelling unit): <br /> <br /> i. Studio/efficiency dwelling unit = 1.33 s/u <br /> ii. 1-bedroom dwelling unit = 1.5 s/u <br /> iii. 2-bedroom dwelling unit = 1.8 s/u <br /> iv. More than 2 bedrooms -- 2.0 s/u <br /> <br /> b. Covered parking <br /> <br /> Covered parking shall be provided at a minimum rate of one space for each two <br /> dwelling units.
