Parking Location and Layout <br /> <br />a0 <br /> <br />To the maximum extent feasible, garage entries, carports, parking areas, and <br />parking structures shall be internalized in building groupings or oriented away <br />from street frontage. <br /> <br />Parking areas and freestanding parking structures (detached garages or <br />carports) shall not occupy more than thirty percent (30%) of each perimeter <br />public street frontage. <br /> <br />To the maximum extent practicable, freestanding parking structures (detached <br />garages or carports) that are visible from perimeter public streets shall be sited <br />perpendicular to the perimeter street in order to reduce visual impacts on the <br />streetscape. <br /> <br />The total number of required parking spaces shall be broken up into smaller <br />"blocks" of parking, with no more than 20 parking spaces per parking block. <br /> <br /> i. Parking blocks shall be separated from each other by a landscaped area no <br /> less than ten feet (10') in width. <br /> ii. Each parking block shall be separated from principal multi-family buildings <br /> and any street or drive by a landscaped buffer area.
