MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DESIGN GUIDELINES AND STANDARDS <br /> <br />c. Four-Sided Design Required <br /> <br /> All sides of a multi-family building shall display a similar level of quality and <br /> architectural interest. The majority of a building's architectural features and <br /> treatments shall not be restricted to a single fa~:ade. <br /> <br />d. Pedestrian-Scale Entrance Required <br /> <br /> All building entries adjacent to a collector or residential (local) public street or to <br /> a public street or private drive with on-street parking shall be pedestrian-scaled. <br /> Pedestrian-scaled entries are those that provide an expression of human activity <br /> or use in relation to building size. Doors, windows, entranceways, and other <br /> features such as corners, setbacks, and offsets can be used to create pedestrian <br /> scale. <br /> <br />e. Windows <br /> <br /> i. All multi-family building elevations shall contain windows, except when <br /> necessary to assure privacy for adjacent property owners (see subsection <br /> B.3.c., Privacy Assurance Guidelines and Standards above). <br /> <br /> ii. Windows should be located to maximize the possibility of occupant <br /> surveillance of entryways, recreation areas, and laundry areas. <br /> <br />g. Garage Doors <br /> <br /> Garage doors of attached garages shall not comprise more than fifty percent <br /> (50%) of the total length of a multi-family building's front fa~:ade, and every two <br /> single-bay garage doors or every double garage door shall be offset by at least <br /> four feet (4') from the plane of an adjacent garage door(s).
