Amended motion by Member LeTourneau, seconded by Member Skaff, to approve and <br />authorize: <br />1) ICSC membership dues for Economic Development Coordinator and City Administrator ($50- <br />100 per person); <br />2) ICSC RECON conference registration ($360 per person), travel and lodging (to be <br />determined) for the Economic Development Coordinator and the City Administrator; <br />3) ICSC Dealmaking /Chicago conference registration ($255 per person), travel and lodging (to <br />be determined) for the Economic Development Coordinator and the City Administrator; <br />4) A portion of the booth and marketing materials at ICSC RECON Conference ($1000 - $2000 <br />total). <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Members Riley, Steffen, LeTourneau, Skaff, Williams, Elvig, and <br />Look. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />Case #6: NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (NDC) TRAINING <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan presented Case #6. <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan gave a very brief update on the National <br />Development Council (NDC) certification program by stating that he, the Economic <br />Development Coordinator, and the Deputy City Administrator/Community Development <br />Director, have successfully completed half of the required courses (ED 101 and ED 202). There <br />are two additional courses needed to complete the EDFP Certification. <br />Motion by Member Elvig, seconded by Member Williams, to authorize the Economic <br />Development Coordinator and the Deputy City Administrator/Director of Community <br />Development to attend courses ED 201 and ED 300. Courses, and travel and lodging expenses, <br />will be fully funded with the understanding that there is potential for a scholarship from EDAM <br />Foundation. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Members Riley, Steffen, LeTourneau, Skaff, Williams, Elvig, and <br />Look. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />Case #7: CONSIDER MEMBERSHIP IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />ASSOCIATION OF MINNESOTA (EDAM) <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan presented Case #7. <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan explained that he is currently a member of the <br />Economic Development Association of Minnesota (EDAM), and has found it to be a beneficial <br />Economic Development Authority /December 10, 2009 <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />
