Community Development Intern Geisler reviewed <br />the latest estimates of the number and types of housing units proposed for the Town <br />Center project. There was some discussion of the role of public agencies in providing <br />affordable housing. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Review Ramsey demographic and housing data. Community Development Intern <br />Geisler reviewed the U.S. Census information included in the packet. There was <br />discussion of the trends seen among buyers of multi-family housing. <br /> <br />$) <br /> <br />Review proposed housing maintenance ordinance. Community Development <br />Intern Geisler introduced the draft housing maintenance ordinance. R/chard Kruger <br />asked about the impact of the City's change from the Uniform Building Code to the <br />International Building Code. There was agreement that the ordinance should make <br />some distinctions between owner-occupied and rental housing. There was discussion <br />of the definition of families/households in the draft ordinance. <br /> <br />Chair Kiefer expressed concern about the ability of the building official to enter a <br />private home, compared to the police. There was discussion of the time limits in the <br />ordinance for filing complaints with the compliance official; Committee members <br />agreed on the need for clarity of the time limits in the ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Suzanne Dvorak to bring back the draft ordinance at the next Housing <br />Committee meeting, Chair Kiefer seconded, motion passed. Chair Kiefer suggested <br />Committee members forward comments and questions about the ordinance to staff, to <br />be discussed at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Mary Jo Olson to adjourn the meeting, Keith Kiefer seconded, motion <br />passed. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
