(a) <br /> <br />No fire exit shall be permitted which is so far removed <br />from any dwelling unit or in such condition as to be <br />deemed unsafe or dangerous and not fit for the purpose. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />All exit stairways in multiple dwellings having-more-than <br />two occupied levels shall be separated from each other by a <br />substantial separation of at least a one hour fire resistance <br />rating as detailed in the State Building Code as adopted by <br />City Ordinance. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />All multiple dwellings having more than two levels, and the <br />lowest level at an elevation less than grade and having the <br />exit at grade level, shall provide a substantial barrier <br />constructed and places so as to prevent a person from <br />proceeding down the stairs to a level lower than the level of <br />exit.
