She <br />suggested the project be market-rate, and added that site plan review would be a <br />critical phase of the project. City Administrator Norman discussed the possibility of <br />creating a linear park on the property, rather than restricting park land to the north or <br />south. <br /> <br />Rick Thompson expressed concern about potential competition for this project from <br />the Town Center development. There was discussion of the type of market that might <br />be interested in a project on the site. The committee agreed that the RFP should <br />address tree preservation, green space protection, amenities, and lifecycle housing. <br />Mary Jo Olson said more info~Tnation was needed on park configuration on and <br />around the site. Suzanne Dvorak said Park and Trail dedication requirements for the <br />project should be fulfilled with land. Michelle Osterhus said it is important for <br />Ramsey to focus on attracting younger households in order to sustain the community <br />over time. The committee also requested an update on the Town Center project at its <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Suzanne Dvorak to direct staff to present a draft RFP at the next meeting <br />and to work with the DNR on development possibilities for the site, Dick Kruger <br />seconded, motion passed.
