Further discussion: Councilmember Look noted the City did not levy as much as the City was allowed to. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Ramsey, Councilmembers took, Dehen, Elvig, Jeffrey, .McGlone, and Wise. Voting No: None. Adopt Ordinance to Amend City Charter Sections 2.5 titled 'Vacancies' and 4.5.5 titled 'Vacancy of Municipal Electe~ Office' . City Attorney Goodrich reviewed his report. Case #6: Harry Niska, Charter Commission member, introduced himself to Council. Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Wise, to waive the reading of and adopt Ordinance 09-18 which is an Ordinance amending Section 2.5 of the City Charter amending the procedure for announcing Council vacancies and Section 4.5.5 of the City Charter amending the procedure for filling a. vacancy in. an elected. office of the City when there is a vacancy of less than eight weeks prior to the primary election. Councilmember Jeffrey asked if the City carried the liability for any damage caused by the contractor. Public Works Director Olson responded the contractor would be liable for any damage and any. damaged mailboxes would need to be replaced by the contractor within 48 hours. Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Dehell, for staff to enter into a. contract with Kevin Maloney.Construction for plowing two cul-de-sac routes . for the 2009 - 2010 snow season.
