C. Playground and premise inspections 1. Contractor is responsible for inspecting all park playgrounds for damage, vandalism and safety issues. The contractor is also responsible for notifying the Parks Supervisor of any damage, vandalism or safety issues. The contractor must also file a police report with Ramsey police in instances of vandalism after notifying the city. The contractor is responsible for completing a playground inspection sheet for City records in the manner specified (See Supplement E for playground inspection sheet.), and shall be submitted to the City before 7 am Tuesday of each week. In the cases of any hazards noted, the affected area must be secured with safety fencing in a way that does not constitute a hazard in its self. Fencing is only required on average once or twice per here, and therefore shall be considered incidental to the contract. 2. The contractor is responsible for visual inspecting the Emerald Pond aerator and fountain for damage, vandalism and safety hazards. (Contractor needs to make sure the pond aerator is working and the sensor for the fountain is functioning. Contractor also needs to check to make sure the fountain pedestal and stream are clean and free of obstructions.) The Contractor should notify staff of any instances of damage, vandalism or safety hazards. 3. The contractor is responsible for inspecting all city fencing, backstops, player's benches, bleachers, swinging benches and tennis courts in the parks indicated in the respective attachments. 4. Contractor is responsible for inspecting Alpine Park Skate Park for damage, vandalism and safety hazards. 5. Contractor is responsible for inspecting Park Kiosks' for damage, vandalism and safety hazards. (Kiosks are located at Alpine, Elmcrest, Emerald Pond, Lake Itasca Trail Head and Sunfish Lake Parks.) 7. The Contractor will be responsible for inspecting items pursuant to Attachment B.) 13 1 Page
