There was a consensus to table the Now and Then Estates project and not bring this back to <br />Pubic Works until Council has discussed the assessment policy. <br />Motion by Chairperson Elvig, seconded by Councilmember McGlone, to direct staff to prepare a <br />feasibility study for the 2010 Street Maintenance Program consistent with the recommendation <br />of the City Council. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Elvig and Councilmembers McGlone and Dehen. <br />Voting No: None. <br />Case #5: Request Anoka County to have a Speed Study Performed on CR 57 Between <br />Highway 10 and Bunker Lake Boulevard <br />Assistant City Engineer Jankowski reviewed the staff report. <br />Councilmember McGlone stated if the County was not going to open the median, lowering the <br />speed limit would not accomplish anything. <br />Councilmember Dehen noted the issue with opening the median was how it would impact a <br />possible "no whistle zone ". <br />Chairperson Elvig stated he liked the idea of having discussions with the County on lowering the <br />speed limit to 35 mph in this area. <br />Motion by Councilmember McGlone, seconded by Councilmember Dehen, to recommend staff <br />meet with the County to discuss the whistle zone, medians, and speed limit for the segment of <br />Sunfish Lake Blvd between TH 10 and Bunker Lake Blvd. <br />Motion carried.
