Lane from Nowthen Boulevard to connect with the existing sidewalks within the Meadows subdivision along Helium Street. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Elvig and Councilmembers McGlone and Dehen. Voting No: None. Case #2: Review Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BSF) Arsenic Cleanup Request and Approve Proposed Plan City Engineer Himmer reviewed the staff report. He indicated this was brought to the Committee for informational purposes. Councilmember McGlone asked if soil amending had been looked at on site. City Engineer Himmer responded he did not know that answer, but he would look into that recommendation. Chairperson Elvig asked if this was an opportunity to get to the right people to have a discussion about a rail station. He stated there would need to be assurance that there would not be any waterflow in this area also. Case #3: Consider Lighting Requirement at Street Crosswalks Assistant City Engineer Jankowski reviewed the staff report. Chairperson Elvig believed prioritizing crosswalks was a good idea. Motion by Chairperson Elvig, seconded by Councilmember McGlone, to recommend staff prepare individual cost proposals for crosswalks for further review and consideration from the Council. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Elvig and Councilmembers McGlone and Dehen. Voting No: None. Case #4: Review Proposed 2010 Street Maintenance Plan Assistant City Engineer Jankowski reviewed the staff report. The Committee discussed the proposed plan and the priority of the proposed street maintenance Chairperson Elvig proposed hanging onto the funding, leave the funds where they were and if the City wanted to reallocate the funds, to look at it at a future date. Chairperson Elvig requested the Now and Then Estates issue be brought back to the Committee at a future date and table Now and Then Estates from the project for this year.
