CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />Topic Report: Boat Landing and Fishing Pier for <br />Mississippi River -Implementation Plan <br />By: Mark Riverblood, Parks Supervisor <br />Background: <br />~,. <br />~ ~ /~' <br />The purpose of this topic report is to introduce an action and implementation plan for the <br />proposed boat landing and fishing pier within the Mississippi West Regional Park. City staff met <br />with Anoka County's Park and Recreation Director and Parks Planner on Wednesday, March 3`d, <br />2010 with very favorable results. <br />Staff is seeking Council consensus to move forward with the attached implementation plan for <br />developing recreational access to the river as one of the strategic goals for 2010, for public use in <br />the spring of 2011. <br />Action Statement: <br />Based upon discussion <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator <br />CCWS: 3/09/10 <br />
