This will leave <br />$379,930.60 remaining from the full federal grant amount of $1,551,395. <br />The City wants a Northstar Commuter Rail station located at Ramsey Town Center and has <br />been taking steps to make this passible. The City wants to continue Ramsey Star Express <br />service beyond the initiation of Northstar Commuter Rail service to continue to show the <br />potential ridership a Ramsey Town Center station would bring to the rail service- and along the <br />corridor. <br />The City of Ramsey is requesting approval to spend the residual funds for capital costs beyond <br />the three year period (end of January 2010). Using the monthly average capital cost of <br />$18,233.90 the funds would support bus service for an additional 18 months (July 2011), or <br />could be used as a capital expenditure for the purchase of a vehicle. The City of Ramsey <br />understands that it will be responsible far funding, or finding alternative sources of funds, for <br />operational costs beyond the three year period. <br />We greatly appreciate your consideration of this request and are available to. answer any <br />questions you may have. <br />Sinc r y, <br />urns G.
