Chronology of Meetings Associated with TH 47 / 142nd Avenue Modifications <br />12/16/2004 Open House Meeting held by MnDot proposing median closure as an element of a safety improvement project <br />1/18/2005 MnDot safety Project elements discussed at PW meeting. Citizen comments reviewed and discussed. <br />PW Committee recommended a 3/4 intersection allowing left turns from the highway. <br />PW Committee also recommended no other traffic modifications until TH47 (2005) and CR116 (2006) projects were completed and traffic patterns have stabilized <br />9/16/2008 PW committee reviews area traffic counts and accident history at TH 47 & 142nd . <br />PW Committee requests that neighborhood be invited to offer input on propsed closure of 142nd Ave between Th47 & Argon Street.. <br />11/18/2008 PW Committee receives testimony from residents of the Flintwood Hills neighborhoodin favor of closure of 142nd Ave between Th47 & Argon Street.. <br />Pw Committee recommends the temporary closure of 142nd Ave (for a one to two year period) <br />12/8/2008 City Council ratifies recommendation of Public Works Committee. <br />12/30/2008 City receives petition / Survey from 23 residents representing 13 properties on Argon Street requesting other considerations <br />
