Motion by Commissioner Cleveland, seconded by Commissioner Rogers, to approve the <br />following minutes as presented: <br />1) Planning Commission public hearing and regular meeting minutes dated January 7, 2010. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners, Cleveland, Rogers, Brauer, <br />Dunaway, Hunt and Van Scoy. Voting No: None. Abstain: None. Absent: None. <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />The following Council minutes were noted: <br />1) City Council regular meeting minutes dated January 26, 2010 <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS /COMMISSION BUSINESS <br />Case #1: Public Hearing — Request for a Conditional Use Permit to Allow Motor <br />Vehicle Repairs and Motor Vehicle Sales in the H -1 Highway 10 Business <br />District on the Property Located at 6845 Highway 10 NW; Case of Eddy's <br />Auto & Body Repair, Inc. <br />Public Hearing <br />Chairperson Levine called the public hearing to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />Commissioners Brauer and Dunaway excused themselves from Case #1. <br />Environmental Coordinator Anderson presented the staff report. <br />Citizen Input <br />Ed Prater, 6540 169th Lane NW, the applicant, stated he understands he needs a conditional use <br />permit because the City is trying to clean up Highway 10. He continued that he has been in <br />business in Andover since 1976 and has never had a problem with the City of Andover. He puts <br />the cars behind a fence at night. He wants a nice reputable business. <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked if the applicant had any questions or concerns with the conditions <br />in the permit. Mr. Prater said he did not and was fine with the conditions. <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked if the striping of 41 spaces was because of the office space. <br />Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated that required spaces take into account the enclosed <br />bays, number of full time employees and the office space.
