Deputy City Administrator Nelson advised that Anoka County will provide general liability <br />insurance and it is not anticipated there will be an increased insurance cost to the City. <br />City Attorney Goodrich advised that Anoka County will have its own public liability insurance <br />and the City will continue its premises insurance. <br />Councilmember Elvig stated when purchased, the Council was told the entryway ergs were of a <br />high quality and would remove rocks and salt from shoes. He suggested the option of a floor <br />grate be researched. <br />Deputy City Administrator explained the rug material is tracked through the building, increasing <br />floor maintenance. She stated she would check to see if there is a guarantee on the entry rugs. <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Wise, to recommend the Council <br />adopt the Resolution Approving the Plans and Specifications and Bidding for the Lease Space <br />Remodel in the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Look, Councilmembers Elvig and Wise. Voting No: <br />None. <br />Case #3: Authorize Contract with Intereum for Relocation of Furniture Systems to <br />Accommodate Lease of Office Space in the Ramsey Municipal Center <br />Management Intern Hendricks presented the staff report, noting there will be very little furniture <br />purchased. <br />The Committee discussed the work included, noting it is just to reassemble the furniture to create <br />new spaces: City staff will be responsible for tear down of the existing furniture in Finance and <br />Planning. <br />City Administrator Ulrich explained the original quote was for Intereum to do everything but to <br />reduce costs staff decided to do the teardown. <br />Chairperson Look stated the costs seem high and asked if staff should get prices from other <br />competitors to see if this is "in the ballpark." He noted a telephone quote would be acceptable. <br />Deputy City Administrator Nelson explained the furniture will be moved February 22-23 and <br />staff will get another bid for the Committee to consider on February 16, 2010. <br />Councilmember Elvig stated support to consider approval at a not to exceed cost. <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Wise, to recommend the Council <br />adopt the Resolution Approving Contracting for Furniture and Relocation Services for Build-Out <br />of Lease Space in Municipal Center, not to exceed $6,736, and staff to get another quote to <br />assure the price is competitive. <br />Finance Committee /February 9, 2010 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
