Background: <br />REPORT FROM PUBLIC WORKS <br />By: Public Works Staff <br />The Public Works Committee met on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 and discussed the following <br />three cases: <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />There was none. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />Motion to approve the agenda as submitted. <br />Case #1: Discuss Site Line Concerns at Sapphire Street & Sunwood Drive NW <br />Background: <br />The property owner Jim Deal at 7533 Sunwood Drive was present at this meeting to discuss with <br />staff a growing concern for the sight line from southbound Sapphire Street looking to the east on <br />Sunwood Drive. <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that Staff work with the property owner to establish <br />additional no parking and a loading and unloading zone. <br />Mr. Deal recommended trying the suggestion and see how it worked and it might need to be <br />adjusted in the future. He stated they would like to stripe the pavement as loading/unloading <br />only. Staff met with the property owner on site and agreed to post a "No Parking here to corner" <br />on the first 14' light pole east of the intersection and to post a "loading zone — 15 minute parking <br />only" sign on the second 14' light pole which is close to the corner of the building. <br />Action: <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee and establish a noparking zone by <br />installing a "No Parking here to corner" on the first 14' light pole east of the intersection and to <br />post a "loading zone — 15 minute parking only" sign on the second 14' light pole which is close <br />to the corner of the building. <br />CASE # <br />
