A <br />w <br />LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br />SEPTEMBER 21, 1988 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Schrantz called the meeting to order at 8:40 a.m. in the <br />Committee Room of Anoka City Hall. <br />iel67MlEN?aM! <br />Members present included Chairman Jim Schrantz, Pete Raatikka, <br />John Weaver, and Tom Mathisen. Guests in attendance were Mrs. Elaine <br />Bartolain, Lyle Bradley, and Anoka Public Works Director Ray Schultz. <br />AUGUST MINUTES <br />MOTION was made by Weaver, seconded by Raatikka, to approve the <br />meeting minutes of August 17, 1988 as printed. All voted yes. Motion <br />carried. <br />00nami61 -' a n&N ialaw <br />Tom Mathisen presented the Treasurer's Report for the period ending <br />August 31, 1988, with a balance of $16,831.89. He reported that the <br />cities of Coon Rapids and Andover have paid their membership dues. Those <br />dues have reportedly recently been approved for payment by the Cities of <br />Anoka and Ramsey and will be forthcoming. <br />MOTION was made by Raatikka, seconded by Weaver, to accept the <br />Treasurer's Report as presented. All voted yes. Motion carried. <br />PAYMENT OF BILLS <br />Mathisen presented a billing received from Barr Engineering in the <br />amount of $183.00 for meetings and the review of permits. Mathisen recom- <br />mended payment of this bill. <br />MOTION was made by Raatikka, seconded by Weaver, to authorize payment <br />of the $183.00 bill from Barr Engineering. All voted yes. Motion carried. <br />Discussion continued with regard to the amount remaining to be paid <br />to Barr Engineering for their work on the Water Management Plan. <br />Mathisen stated that engineering consultant Dean Skallman was to have <br />checked into the matter at Barr Engineering and get back to him. Skallman <br />has not yet contacted Mathisen. Mathisen stated that his records show <br />that there is less than $1,000 remaining in the budget for the plan. <br />REPORT OF OFFICERS <br />Mathisen stated that the Coon Rapids City Council has reviewed the <br />Water Management Plan, noting two exceptions: 1) having to do with the <br />creation of the on -site ponding and 2) the number of acres involved. <br />They felt it is a bit restrictive. Having reported these concerns, <br />Mathisen stated that these issues will be further discussed at a later date. <br />
