S <br />LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br />AUGUST 17, 1988 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Schrantz called the meeting to order at 8:40 a.m. in the <br />Committee Room of Anoka City Hall. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Members present included Chairman Jim Schrantz, Pete Raatikka, and <br />John Weaver. Tom Mathisen was absent. Guest in attendance was <br />Mrs. Elaine Bartolain. <br />JULY MINUTES <br />Motion was made by Raatikka, seconded by Weaver, to approve the <br />meeting minutes of 7 -20 -88 as printed. All voted yes. Motion carried. <br />TREASURER "S REPORT <br />Chairman Schrantz presented the Treasurer's Report as provided to <br />him by Mathisen for the period ending 7 -31 -88 showing a balance of <br />$15,799.54. Schrantz reported that bills have been sent to WMO member <br />cities requesting the 1988 financial contribution. He noted that <br />although Andover's bill request was received, a cover letter of ex- <br />planation was missing. Mathisen has reportedly discussed with Barr <br />Engineering consultant Dean Skallman the amount due them for the com- <br />pletion of the Water Management Plan. Skallman will review and get back <br />to the commission with their final billing. <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Raatikka, to approve the <br />Treasurer's Report as presented. All voted yes. Motion carried. <br />I VIM u1Di Ll Iato)= iIMM <br />No bills were presented for payment. <br />REPORT OF OFFICERS <br />None. <br />CO NSIDERATION OF COM^UNICATIONS <br />Nrelm <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Chairman Schrantz reported that because Lyle Bradley has been out . <br />of town, he was unable to discuss the proposed "NO WAKE" ordinance with <br />him which would help control the erosion along the banks of the Rum River. <br />
