LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />February 15, 1989 <br />Page 3 <br />Rum River Bridge, Anoka CSAH 116. Construction of <br />the 116 Bridge over the Rum River with special DNR <br />requirements as the Rum River is a wild and scenic <br />river. Raatikka briefly reviewed the proposed <br />project stating that the bridge is tentatively <br />scheduled to open the end of 1990. Informational. <br />#89 -6266 Applicant: Craig Willey, 14138 Argon St., Anoka. <br />Proposing to grade the swale to unnamed wetland <br />2- 116W to provide an outlet for storm water for <br />adjacent upland. Raatikka stated that the DNR, will <br />probably be reviewing the fill aspect of this <br />project especially. Informational at present. <br />#89 -6145 DNR letter to Maurice Anderson, 2015 First Ave., <br />City of Anoka as applicant. The city was informed <br />that their application to fill in an unnamed <br />wetland #2 -107W located on the Greenhaven Golf <br />Course was denied. Informational. <br />Maple Lodge Motel - John O'Donnell, owner /developer of the <br />Maple Lodge Motel, received a 12 -28 -88 letter from <br />the DNR informing him that they reviewed his plan <br />for use of a 12-inch concrete pipe to discharge <br />storm water runoff into the Mississippi River. <br />Because the pipe will not extend below the ordinary <br />high water level of the Mississippi River, no DNR <br />permit is required. Letter indicated potential <br />erosion concerns. Engineering consultant Skallman <br />was to have been contacted by O'Donnell, per the <br />letter': directive, for his review and recommen <br />tion. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Raatikka, seconded by <br />Mr. Mathisen, to acknowledge receipt of the above listed <br />permits and reports from Barr Engineering and to approve <br />their informational recommendations. The secretary was <br />directed to mail the Feb. 6, 1989, letter to Ms. Sonsteby <br />indicating this commission's position. All voted yes. <br />Motion carried. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />The commission concurred that <br />Rum River Erosion Control Ordinanc <br />meeting when comments from member <br />following all public hearings. <br />these public hearings will be sent <br />for his review and advise with <br />during the April meeting. <br />discussion of the proposed <br />__ be continued at the April <br />cities will be available <br />Copies of the minutes from <br />to attorney Curtis Pea <br />his attendance requested. <br />
