Construction of the 116 Bridge over the Rum River with special DNR requirements as the Rum River is a wild and scenic river. Raatikka briefly reviewed the proposed project stating that the bridge is tentatively scheduled to open the end of 1990. Informational. #89 -6266 Applicant: Craig Willey, 14138 Argon St., Anoka. Proposing to grade the swale to unnamed wetland 2- 116W to provide an outlet for storm water for adjacent upland. Raatikka stated that the DNR, will probably be reviewing the fill aspect of this project especially. Informational at present. #89 -6145 DNR letter to Maurice Anderson, 2015 First Ave., City of Anoka as applicant. The city was informed that their application to fill in an unnamed wetland #2 -107W located on the Greenhaven Golf Course was denied. Informational. Maple Lodge Motel - John O'Donnell, owner /developer of the Maple Lodge Motel, received a 12 -28 -88 letter from the DNR informing him that they reviewed his plan for use of a 12-inch concrete pipe to discharge storm water runoff into the Mississippi River. Because the pipe will not extend below the ordinary high water level of the Mississippi River, no DNR permit is required. Letter indicated potential erosion concerns. Engineering consultant Skallman was to have been contacted by O'Donnell, per the letter': directive, for his review and recommen tion. A motion was made by Mr. Raatikka, seconded by Mr. Mathisen, to acknowledge receipt of the above listed permits and reports from Barr Engineering and to approve their informational recommendations. The secretary was directed to mail the Feb. 6, 1989, letter to Ms. Sonsteby indicating this commission's position. All voted yes. Motion carried.
