4
LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION
FEBRUARY 21, 1990
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Jim Schrantz called the meeting to order at 8:40
a.m, in the Committee Room of Anoka City Hall.
ROLL CALL
Members present were Jim Schrantz, Tom Mathisen, Pete
Raatikka, and John Weaver.
Engineering Consultant Dean Skallman was also present.
CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES
Members considered the special meeting minutes of November
14, 1989, and February 7, 1990. Mathisen indicated the date
on the November 14th minutes should be changed to 1989. The
Recording Secretary reported that attorney Curt Pearson
telephoned prior to the meeting suggesting a language change
on page 3 of the February 7th minutes. The last sentence in
the first paragraph should read, "In Pearson's opinion, the
report relates to the administrative responsibilities of the
WMO's".
Motion was made by Raatikka, seconded
THE NOVEMBER 14, 1989, AND FEBRUARY 7,
AS AMENDED.
4 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried.
TREASURER'S REPORT
by Weaver, to APPROVE
1990, MEETING MINUTES
Mathisen presented the Treasurer's Reports for the periods
ending December 31, 1989, and January 31, 1990, showing
balances of $17,419.86 and $16,786.78 respectively.
Mathisen stated we are over budget in engineering costs by
$1,111.04, but the overall budget shows a positive balance
but not much excess.
Weaver foresaw that the cities' assessments will probably
have to be increased somewhat soon to avoid a large assess-
ment increase at a later date.
