LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />August 28, 1991 <br />Page 4 <br />the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency grant received by Coon <br />Creek. <br />Schrantz noted the sixth draft of rules of the Metropolitan <br />Surface Water Management Plans as prepared by the Minnesota <br />Board of Water and Soil Resources in conjunction with a <br />forty -two member advisory committee, on which Schrantz serves <br />as a member. Schrantz urged board members to attend at least <br />one of the informational meetings, as outlined in the August <br />15, 1991, memorandum from Ron- Harnack, Executive Director of <br />the Board of Water and Soil Resources. <br />Board members also noted two other upcoming conferences: <br />-- "Importing River Watch" conference to be held October 3 <br />and 4, 1991, at the Spring Hill Conference Center, hosted by <br />the Mississippi Headwaters Board. <br />-- "Local Issues, Local Initiatives ", a Minnesota Lake <br />Management Conference, to be held October 27 -29, 1991, at <br />Arrowwood Resort, Alexandria, Minnesota. <br />The board noted the receipt of the Minnesota Department of <br />Natural Resources, Division of waters, Observation Well Data <br />Summary for Water Year 1989 <br />PENDING PROJECTS /PERMIT REVIEWS <br />Second Quarter Reports from Coon Rapids and Ramsey <br />Erickson provided the second quarter project report for the <br />City of Coon Rapids which indicated no new construction <br />projects in the LRRWMO watershed during this period. <br />Jankowski verbally reported Ramsey has several projects <br />pending but did not have a thorough or written report <br />prepared. He indicated he would provide the second quarter <br />report at the September meeting. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Seechi Disc Monitoring, SWCD vs. Metro Council <br />Members noted the July 15, 1991, memorandum to Mava Mikkonen, <br />Recording Secretary, from the SWCD representatives Dale Sauer <br />and Patricia Rudolph, with regard to the lake monitoring <br />programs of the SWCD and the Metropolitan Council. Upon <br />review of the memorandum, Erickson noted it looks as if the <br />SWCD is only going to be able to do Seechi Disc monitoring <br />for Rodgers Lake.
