LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
April 15, 1992
Page 7
to discuss his serving on the advisory board as the local
governmental unit ( LRRWMO) representative.
The board discussed how the costs for any of these wetland
activities were going to be handled. Erickson suggested if
the bill were passed through the LRRWMO we would have to hang
on to it until the city, or whoever initiated the project,
paid us. Other board members concurred. Schrantz added in
the case of Andover, the City Council will have to recognize
there will be costs incurred. Weaver indicated as long as
the city agrees it will assume the costs, then the LRRWMO
should attempt to work with this and any other city in our
jurisdiction in order to expedite a project.
A March 19, 1992, letter from Tom Hovey, Minnesota Department
of Natural Resources, responding to the City of Ramsey's
proposed 153rd Avenue Extension, Jeglens March, Public Water
2 -111P, for the City of Ramsey, was noted. The board
directed that this issue be placed on the May agenda to allow
Jankowski to respond.
Upon discussion of the wetland legislation, Erickson con-
firmed said legislation was effective state wide; however,
the metropolitan area has different rules. Erickson queried
if Ramsey wetland 2 -111P is a DNR wetland, does the LRRWMO
have to address it?
Discussion re Set -Up of the Technical Review Committee for
the LRRWMO
Schrantz indicated the technical review committee for the
LRRWMO must be established as spelled out by state law.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Erickson, to ADJOURN
THE MEETING.
3 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried.
Time of adjournment: 10:05 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Mava Mikkonen
Administrative Secretary
