LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
October 15, 1992
Page 7
Andover's Comprehensive Storm Drainage Plan
In reporting on the status of Andover's Comprehensive Storm
Drainage Plan, Schrantz stated they have met with the Coon
Creek Watershed who wants the city to make a few changes.
Schrantz stated he wants to meet with the city's consultant
also regarding the plan.
This agenda item will be carried over to the November
meeting.
my Soil and Water Conservation District Re
sk Readings
Schrantz stated he has not yet heard from Tony Brough, Anoka
County Soil and Water Conservation District, whether or not
he found anyone to take the seechi disk readings. He agreed
to give him a call to see if that $35.00 the LRRWMO paid for
those readings will be refunded.
Mikkonen reminded the board that her previous conversation
with Mr. Brough led her to understand that even if someone
had been found to take seechi disk readings, that information
would go directly to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
It would not be provided in a direct manner to the LRRWMO,
even though this board paid for those readings.
(Weaver left at 9:31 a.m.)
MISCELLANEOUS
Schultz updated the board on the City of Anoka's project to
repair the retaining wall adjacent to City Hail and the Rum
River Dam. He indicated at Council's last meeting all bids
were rejected and staff was directed to go out for rebids on
the project, this time eliminating the handicapped facilities
in the plans and specifications. The cost for completing
that portion of the project was reportedly prohibitive at
this time.
NEW BUSINESS
Engineering Contract
The board discussed advertising in the State Register for
Professional services proposals upon noting that the adver-
tising rate is $79.00 per page, or $2C.00 for a quarter page.
Pearson's October 12, 1992, letter included a proposed
request for proposals which the board modified appropriately.
