ORDINANCE #10-XX <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AN A1V)<EMDMENT TO CHAPTER 58 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE, WHICH <br />CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS THE UTILITIES CHAPTER OF THE RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA, CITY CODE. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 58-110 (APPLICATIONS FOR SERVICE), <br />AND 58-141 (REQUIRED USE FOR SEWERS). <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the City Charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENTS <br />Section 58-110 (c) is hereby repealed. <br />Section 58=141 (c) and (d) are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 3. SUMMARY <br />The following is the official summary of Ordinance #10-XX which has been approved by the <br />City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly informing the public of the intent and effect of the <br />Ordinance. <br />It is the intent and effect of Ordinance #10-XX to amend Ramsey, Minnesota City Code Sections <br />58-110 (Applications for Service), and 58-141 (Required Use for Sewers) to: <br />• Eliminate the requirement for City forced municipal utility connections for property <br />owners that maintain functional private sewer and water systems. <br />• Maintain consistency with City Charter, Section 8.6.1.. <br />SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />The effective date of this Ordinance is thirty (30) days after its passage and publication, subject <br />to City Charter Section 5.07. <br />Adopted by the Ramsey City Council the 13th day of April, 2010. <br />
