-146- <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />Standards Revision for Residential Streets <br />The Public Works Committee recommended that the City Council change the residential <br />street standards in all new subdivisions within the MUSA be changed to four inches of <br />Class V and two inches of bituminous binder and 1 1/2 of bituminous wear course. <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />Consider Request for Extension of Sewer and Water <br />The Public Works Cormnittee recommended that the City Council table this issue for <br />three months to allow the new members of the City Council to get more familiar with-this <br />issue and the procedures of City government. <br /> <br />Susan Anderson, Juniper Ridge Drive, Ramsey, stated that in the Ramsey sign ordinance it states <br />that signs can be placed on private property with permission of the property owner, but signs <br />cannot be placed within 15 feet of a driveway. She stated that she did not think that the 15-foot <br />requirement within the driveway will work with :townhome developments. She questioned if the <br />ordinance might be out of date. <br /> <br />City A&rfinistrator stated that staff review that information. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember <br />recommendations of the Public Works Committee. <br /> <br />Kurak, to ratify the <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #13: <br /> <br />Authorize the Hiring of a Firms to Assist the City in the Review of the Town <br />Center Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR) Environmental Review <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon stated that Ramsey Town Center LLC (RTC) is worldng on an <br />AUAR Environmental Review for the Town Center project. Staff feels it is important that <br />independent consultants, hiked by the City and paid for by the Developer, review the AUAR <br />document prior to the City agreeing to release the draft AUAR for comments. On March 11, <br />2003, staff met with three consulting engineering firms to discuss the Town Center project. It is <br />staff's desire that the City hire the three consulting firms to assist staff and the city Council in <br />determining whether the draft AUAP,. document is acceptable.
