LRRWMO Meeting Minutes November 18, 1993 Page 4 Review Correspondence in Chair's Folder Jankowski reviewed the informational items contained in the Chair's folder. Letter from DNR - re: Extension/Amendment Request. Permit 90-6229. Highway Bridge, Mississippi River, Hennepin/Anoka Counties Jankowski noted MnDOT has requested an extension of their DNR Permit 90-6229 since construction has been delayed until 1997. Schultz pointed out that MnDOT has not yet applied for a permit from the WMO. He felt a permit was needed so the LRRWMO can determine whether discharge will occur from the roadway into the Mississippi River. He added the LRRWMO should have the opportunity to provide input on the storm water system that will be designed since the WMO is responsible for the quality of water going into the River. Motion by Weaver, seconded by Haas, that since all governmental agencies have applied for a permit, MnDOT should not be an exception and to direct the Administrative Secretary to send MnDOT a letter requesting they apply for a permit which will be copied to the DNR. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. Corps of Engineers Notice of Permit and Enforcement Actions No action required. Corp of Engineers Public Notice re: Permit Modification for Prairie Island Community to Construct a Marina Facility in a Backwater (Sturgeon Lake No action required. DNR Permit along Rum River -Rip Rap No action required. REPORT OF OFFICERS Second Quarter 1993 Reports -Coon Rapids Ferguson submitted a letter indicating Coon Rapids did not have any new construction projects within the LRRWMO boundary during the second quarter of fiscal 1993.
