FEB 16 '93 L1~26PM CITY OF RNOKR P 14 <br />LRRWMO Special Meeting Minutes <br />February 11, 1993 <br />Sage 13 <br />Weaver stated he would prefer to continue having Harr <br />Engineering serve the LRRWMO as its Consulting Engineer, but <br />would request a couple of things: 1) Harr Engineering <br />provide a sample contract if we want to have a contract; and <br />2) they provide a copy of the form they propose tD use in <br />compiling the LRRWMO monthly billing charges for their <br />cervices, clearly showing the delineation of services applic- <br />able to specific projects and thane charged to general <br />services. Weaver asked that this information be provided <br />before we formally retain them. <br />Sahrantz concurred, stated he was convinced Mr. Beduhn would <br />break out those charges for us. <br />Jankowski suggested the board give careful thought to this <br />decision. Weaver noted that Ramsey has many wetlands it has <br />to deal with during development. He felt this board is <br />getting its money's worth. Weaver feared SEH would expect us <br />to expend a great deal more than we are able to. <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Schrantz, that PRIOR <br />TO THE LRRWMO MAKING ITS FINAL CONSULTING ENGINEERING FIRM <br />SELECTION, TO INVITE BARR ENGINEERING TO PROVIDES 1) A <br />SAMPLE DOCUa"4ENT REFLECTING THETR COSTS TO THIS ORGANIZATIONp <br />2} A PROPOSED SAMPLE SERVICE AGREEMENT; AND 3} A COPY OF THE <br />FORM WHICH $ARR ENGINEERING WOULD USE TO CLEARLX INDICATE THE <br />DELINEATED CHARGES FOR WHICH THE HOARD WILL BE BILLED. THIS <br />INFORMATION IS REQUESTED PRIOR TO THE HOARD'S INDICATING ITS <br />PREFERENCE OF ENGINEERING FIRMS AND ENTERING INTO A SERVICE <br />AGREEMENT. <br />Weaver suggested perhaps the Ramsey City Council and staff <br />would like members of this board to visit with them in an <br />attempt to address their concerns regarding the I.RRWMO's <br />spending. Perhaps we could provide those community leaders <br />with an explanation of the future expectations of the LRRWMO. <br />VOTE: 3 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried. <br />Sahrantz suggested the board should, at a future meeting, <br />discuss extending the scope of Administrative Secretary Mava <br />Mikkonen's duties. <br />
