LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION October 21, 1993 CALL TO ORDER Acting Chairman Steve Jankowski called the meeting to order at 8:43 a.m. in the Committee Room of Anoka City Hall. ROLL CALL Voting members present were Steve Jankowski, Ramsey; and John Weaver, Anoka. Absent: Ben Ferguson, Coon Rapids. Todd Haas was appointed to the LRRWMO as Andover's representative under the first agenda item. Also present were Ray Schultz, Anoka Alternate; Jim Knutson, Deputy Treasurer; and Carla Wirth, Administrative Secretary. REAPPOINTMENT OF ANDOVER'S REPRESENTATIVE Jankowski pointed out that a resolution has been received from Andover which appoints Todd Haas to the LRRWMO in the absence of James Schrantz. It was noted that this appointment will give Haas the voting privilege for Andover. Motion by Weaver, seconded by Jankowski, to accept Resolution 224-93, A Resolution Appointing Todd J. Haas to the Lower Rum River Water Management Organization in the Absence of James Schrantz. Vote: 2 ayes, 0 nays, 1 present. Motion carried. Weaver commented that Jim Schrantz has been Chair of the LRRWMO since its inception and he is saddened by the fact that Jim is physically incapacitated and can no longer continue with this work. Jankowski agreed. Haas stated he will relay this sentiment to Schrantz. CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES Motion by Weaver, seconded by Jankowski, to approve the September 16, 1993, regular meeting minutes as submitted. Vote: 2 ayes, 0 nays, 1 present. Motion carried. TREASURER'S REPORT Since Knutson was absent at the moment, Weaver reviewed the Treasurer's Report for the period ending September 30, 1993. Account balances for the period were: Checking, $10.00; interest bearing savings account, $5,080.62, less permit account balance of $3,785.22, for a total available savings account balance of ($431.06); and certificates of deposit totaling $27,000.00; for a current total balance of $30,364.16.
