LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
May 27, 1993
Page 7
specifically itemize the next bill on which said charges will
appear. Knutson suggested Barr Engineering separate those
charges on two bills when next they bill the LRRWMO, and
Knutson would send that bill on to the City of Andover. The
board concurred it would be inappropriate for Barr Engineer-
ing to bill Andover directly in that they are not a client.
Perry stated he wanted to see some procedure in writing so
this does not .happen again.
VOTE: 3 ayes - 1 naye (Perry). Motion carried.
Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Ferguson, to AUTHORIZE
PAYMENT OF THE $600.00 BILL TO THE ANOKA COUNTY SOIL AND
WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT FOR THE LRRWMO'S PARTICIPATION IN
THE 1993 LAKE MONITORING PROGRAM.
4 ayes - 0 nayes. Motion carried.
SECRETARIAL/EQUIPMENT OPTIONS
Mikkonen updated the board on problems she is encountering
while attempting to address LRRWMO matters. However, first
she reported, as of May 31, 1993, she is no longer the
Recording Secretary for other boards and commissions and has
accepted a part-time position with the City of Anoka's Parks
Department which normally encompasses Mondays, Tuesdays, and
Wednesday mornings. She wanted the board to be aware should,
for whatever reason, she be required to work at the Park
Department on LRRWMO meeting days, that would have to take
first priority. She indicated she wished the board to be
aware of this should it wish to pursue secretarial services
elsewhere.
Mikkonen also noted that problems still exist with obtaining
proper equipment usage at Anoka City Hall when she needs to
access a computer terminal in-house. The current beg/borrow
process is time consuming and inefficient. Also, because she
will no longer be working for the City of Anoka as a Record-
ing Secretary, her home terminal will be removed. She
reported conversations with Schrantz, Weaver, and Anoka City
Manager Mark Nagel when consideration was given to the
purchase of a lap top computer and perhaps even a jet
printer. Mikkonen stated this equipment could be utilized by
her at home, at City Hall, or even at meetings. What's more,
should the board decide it should seek a secretary with more
stable hours, this equipment could just as easily be shifted
to that person. Mikkonen reported, however, that in her
opinion it would be totally unacceptable to share a lap top
computer with Anoka Alternate Ray Schultz in his office
should one be purchased, as he previously suggested.
