LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />September 15, 1994 <br />Page 2 <br />Jankowski suggested the grant portion of the bill be tabled to the next meeting so previous <br />meeting minutes can be reviewed to ascertain the amount authorized. it was noted that <br />grant approval will also be known by the October 20, 1994 meeting. <br />Weaver expressed reluctance to consider payment of the charge based on whether the grant <br />is received. He noted that whether the grant is received or not, the LRRWMO authorized <br />the work to be done and the question is the amount of the chazge. <br />Motion was made by Ottensmann, seconded by Haas, to authorize payment to Barr <br />Engineering for $688.78, to table payment of the portion for the Challenge Grant ($911), <br />and to review previous minutes to verify amount authorized. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion <br />carried. <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Ottensmann, to authorize payment to Timesaver <br />Off Site Secretarial in the amount of $242.45. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />1995 Budget Analysis <br />Knutson provided a brief review of the 1995 Budget analysis which reflects consensus <br />reached at the August meeting. <br />Jankowski suggested it be discussed at the October meeting, once it is known whether the <br />.Challenge Grant will be received. <br />Knutson explained the 1995 budget can be adopted in October but member City assessments <br />will not be known until evaluations aze received for each community. Therefore, he <br />suggested final action be taken at the December meeting. <br />In response to Weaver's comments, Knutson explained that even though payment for the <br />Plan update may not be made until 1996, the 1995 budget will need to reflect indebtedness <br />in the yeaz occurred. <br />Jankowski reported he spoke with Beduhn regazding payment for the Plan update and he <br />indicated Barr Engineering would probably be willing to work out a payment schedule into <br />1996. <br />Knutson reiterated that the 1995 budget will need to show the expense and noted that a <br />payment schedule may reduce the increase impact to member Cities. <br />JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT -UPDATE RE: RAMSEY <br />Jankowski reported he provided Ramsey Councilmember Hazdin~ with a copy of the letter <br />received from LRRWMO Attorney Pearson but has not yet received a response. He stated <br />he will contact Harding to obtain his input. <br />
