"k d <br />LOWER RUM RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION <br />July 21, 1994 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chairman Steve Jankowski called the meeting to order at 9:27 a.m. in the Committee Room <br />of Anoka City Hall. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Voting members present were Steve Jankowski, Ramsey; Todd Haas, Andover; and John <br />Weaver, Anoka. Absent: Ben Ferguson, Coon Rapids. <br />Also present was Anoka alternate Ray Schultz. <br />CONSIDERATION OF THE MINUTES <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to approve the June 16, 1994, regular <br />meeting minutes as submitted and the June 22,1994 minutes with a correction to the tenth <br />paragraph on Page 4 to indicate: "Haas pointed out that because of the Scenic River <br />Ordinance rules, the cities would be involved with any erosion control along the Rum <br />River." Vote: 3 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />TREASURER'S REPORT <br />Knutson presented the Treasurer's Report for the period ending June 30, 1994. Account <br />balances for the period were: Checking, $10.00; interest bearing savings account, $5,696.57, <br />less permit account balance of $5,506.60, for a total available savings account balance of <br />$1,072.31; and certificates of deposit totaling $22,000.00; for a current total balance of <br />$28,588.91. <br />Motion was made by Haas, seconded by Weaver, to accept the Treasurer's Report for the <br />period ending June 30, 1994. Vote: 3 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />Knutson noted there are two Certificates of Deposit (CDs) coming due. He explained that <br />other financial institutions are now offering better investment rates and suggested the <br />LRRWMO consider adding additional financial institutions to Resolution 94-1. It was noted <br />that currently only First Bank/Anoka and the 4M Fund are included in the resolution. He <br />recommended that Investor Savings Bank and Twin City Federal be added. <br />Weaver supported allowing opportunities to investigate for better investment rates and to <br />include other financial institutions to broaden the opportunity. <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to amend Resolution 94-1 to include First <br />National Bank of Elk River/Anoka Branch, First Star, Twin City Federal and Investor <br />Savings. Vote: 3 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />
