a
LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
July 21, 1994
Page 5
He added that their consultant has sent a letter to Beduhn indicating they will construct this
pond with a controlled overflow section from the basin.
Motion by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to approve LRRWMO Permit #94-06, Kelsey Round
Lake Park conditioned upon providing a controlled outlet from the basin as recommended
by Barr Engineering. Vote: 3 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
Newsletter Article -Coon Rapids
Not available; tabled to August 18, 1994 meeting.
DNR Permit 94-6209 -City of Ramsey
Jankowski provided a detailed review of Ramsey's plans to extend an east/west collector
roadway, a portion of which extends through a wetland area. He reviewed the proposed
alignment and section which they would like to construct this fall from County Road 5 to
Sunfish Lake Boulevard. Jankowski pointed out that the proposed alignment reroutes traffic
so it does not filter through a residential area and that the one wetland area is unavoidable.
They plan to fill and mitigate this wetland area.
Schultz questioned the location of wells. Jankowski stated there are monitoring wells in this
area as part of the Waste Management groundwater reclamation system but they are outside
the roadway and will not be impacted.
Jankowski reported that the DNR is involved with three crossings and reviewed the locations
where they plan to install culverts. He commented that because of the importance of this
road, Ramsey hopes the DNR will consider the proposed crossing to be reasonable.
Haas reported that when Andover had a similar request, Beduhn reviewed their plan and
made a recommendation to the LRRWMO. He added that the DNR did not approve
Andover's project.
Jankowski stated they do not have the final plans and design completed yet but he will
submit the preliminary plans to Beduhn for review at this time and the final design plans as
soon as they are completed.
Motion by Haas, seconded by Weaver, to refer DNR Permit 94-6209 to Beduhn for his
review and recommendation subject to receipt oY a permit application and fee. Vote: 3
ayes, 0 nay. Motion carried.
