LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />November 16, 1995 <br />Page 3 <br />Weaver pointed out that Pearson has always been very favorable with his billing charges and <br />inquired regarding whether there will be a change in billing structure with the new firm. He <br />suggested that the LRRWMO could either approve the transition, subject to the fee <br />schedule, or invite proposals for legal services which could include a proposal from Pearson. <br />Knutson advised that Peazson's charge for legal service has been $135 per hour. <br />Ferguson stated he has-been satisfied with Peazson's services, supports continuing, and would <br />be comfortable with just finding out the new fee schedule, if any. It was noted that <br />proposals for professional services will be considered in the next few months. <br />Weaver stated if the LRRWMo is required to invite proposals, then that process should be <br />followed. <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to direct the secretary to obtain a listing <br />from BWSR of attorneys in the metro area who represent WMO's, invite proposals for legal <br />and engineering services. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />Knutson stated he will check his records to determine if an advertisement was placed last <br />time RFP's were considered. <br />Jankowski stated he will contact Pearson to advise him of this action. <br />PAYMENT OF BILLS <br />Knutson reviewed bills for payment as follows: Timesaver Off Site Secretarial for $184.50, <br />Barr Engineering for $908.51(98% permits, 2% administration), SEH for $1,116.82 for Plan <br />Revision September, and Wurst, Peazson & Larson for $1,721.25 for legal services for <br />February through October, 1995. <br />Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Ferguson, to authorize payment to Timesaver <br />Off Site Secretarial for $184.50, Barr Engineering for $908.51, SEH for $1,116.82, Wurst, <br />Pearson & Larson for $1,721.25. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />REVIEW PLAN UPDATE -SEH -PERMITTING & IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS <br />Mark Lobermeier, SEH, reviewed the Permitting and Implementation Process sections of <br />the Plan update. He commented that one azea of concern may be the amount of public <br />input received as part of the Plan update, which is also encouraged by BWSR. <br />Jankowski explained the LRRWMO was considering a press release explaining what they <br />do, advertising the Plan update process, and that a copy is available for review at the public <br />libraries. Lobermeier agreed this would be appropriate and this process can be used as part <br />
