.,
LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
December 21, 1995
Page 3
Haas advised that the Andover newsletter is published every other month. He noted this
notice can be posted in City Hall, distnbuted to Councilmembers, advertised on cable
television, etc.
Schultz stated the Anoka newsletter is a quarterly publication.
Weaver suggested the hearing be held in the evening in Mazch. Haas agreed.
Lobermeier asked if the hearing format will be an informal open house or a formally
conducted public hearing. He noted a formal public hearing is required later in the Plan
process.
Ferguson stated he supports an informational type of meeting with a short presentation and
opportunity to receive input and answer questions.
Consensus was reached to schedule the open house informational meeting at Anoka City
Hall Council Chambers on February 22,1996 at 7:00 p.m. Each member will be responsible
for publication in their local newsletter and the secretary was directed to submit the article
to the Anoka Union and Coon Rapids Herald. Library copies to be distributed to members
who will deliver them to their local library.
Lobermeier noted the Plan is still in draft form and LRRWMO review will be needed prior
to sending copies to the I~braries. He suggested this be done at the January meeting and
the revised Plan be sent to the libraries the first week of February.
Lobermeier distnbuted a copy of the River Falls action plan and what they did in terms of
public involvement. He suggested members review this information to determine what the
LRRWMO would like to consider.
Lobermeier reviewed the Assessment of Problems section which was based on interviews
with each member. He requested confirmation that the LRRWMO is comfortable with this
part of the Plan and noted that if a project appears in the Implementation Process section,
someone may expect it to be done.
Consensus was reached to make several corrections and revisions to the Assessment of
Problems section of the Plan and requested Lobermeier to make those changes.
Schultz suggested that any action taken in the Trout Brook subwatershed be copied to Bums
Township so they aze adequately notified. Lobermeier noted that since LRRWMO is
downstream, a concern also exists if they should approve a development that impacts the
amount and quality of drainage downstream.
