<br />LRRWMO Meeting Minutes <br />June 15, 1995 <br />Page 11 <br />Groundwater Protection Assessment Innut -Bob Hutchinson (Anoka Coun <br />Bob Hutchinson, Anoka County, advised the Anoka County Boazd of Commissioners <br />adopted the Groundwater Protection Assessment and considers it to be a "living document" <br />that will include periodic updates and changes, <br />Jankowski explained the LRRWMO is in the process of updating the WMO Plan and a <br />portion will interface with what Anoka County is doing with groundwater protection. <br />Hutchinson explained a study the County was engaged in to determine how old the water <br />supply is and the rate of recharge. Also, the Wellhead Protection Plan will be appended to <br />the Assessment when it is completed. He reviewed the two year process involved in <br />preparing the Assessment and the community groups and organizations involved with review. <br />Hutchinson also explained key factors being used to assure Anoka County has an adequate <br />supply of safe water and their determination that problems are isolated and being mediated. <br />He reviewed the topics covered in the Assessments and asserted it will provide a tool for <br />communities dealing with water management issues. He informed Anoka County has a staff <br />person devoted to activities to assist WMO's like the LRRWMO and work in partnership. <br />Hutchinson requested the LRRWMO to complete their review of the Assessment and advise <br />him if they find any errors. <br />Jankowski informed Hutchinson the LRRWMO has hired SEH to work on the Plan update <br />and they will take the Assessment document into consideration during that update. <br />Hutchinson encouraged the LRRWMO to call should they be interested in a partnership <br />relationship on certain projects where the County can help. <br />Jankowski extended the Board's appreciation to Mr. Hutchinson for his attendance and offer <br />of assistance. <br />Interim Replacement Plan Notifications -Beduhn Memo <br />The LRRWMO reviewed the June 6, 1995 memorandum from Beduhn regarding interim <br />replacement plan notifications and that the WCA requires wetland replacement plans <br />completed under the Interim Program to be completed by June 30, 1995. If replacement <br />plans are not completed by that date, they will have to be re-evaluated under the procedures <br />of the Permanent Program. He notes he has encouraged permit applicants to complete .the <br />interim program projects prior to the June 30, 1995 deadline. <br />In the memorandum, Beduhn advises he has completed site inspections for the Anoka <br />County Road 116 and Amber Ridge projects and found the sites aze sufficiently stabilized <br />
