Motion carried. <br />LRRWMO Permit #96-4 -Chestnut Ridge Modification -Ramsey <br />Jankowski reviewed the Bob Obermeyer memorandum of June 19, 1996, recommending approval <br />of a certificate of exemption for LRRWMO Pemtit #96-04, Chestnut Ridge 3rd Addition, to fi113, 850 <br />squae feet of wetland area located on Lots 1 and 2, Block 3, of this development subject to two <br />conditions. Jankowski explained this is actually a modification. <br />Motion by Haas, seconded by Ferguson, to find that the proposed filling of 3,850 square feet <br />of wetland area located on Lots 1 and 2, Block 3, Chestnut Ridge, is allowed by the Wetland <br />Conservation Act and to issue a certificate of exemption conditioned on: <br />• <br />Prior to any filling within the wetland area, the limits of this wetland must be field • <br />verified by the Anoka Conservation Act. This is required to ensure that the proposed <br />filling is less than 5,000 square feet in area. <br />2. The Army Corps of Engineers must be contacted to ensure the proposed wetland filling <br />is permissible by the Corps. <br />Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />En 'n~ Bering Services RFP Update -Jankowski <br />Jankowski stated he reviewed the RFP's received from seven very qualified engineering firms and <br />recommends, since the LRRWMO is satisfied with services performed by Barr Engineering, the high <br />level of experience of Bob Obermeyer, and the discounted hourly rate, to continue with Barr <br />Engineering. <br />Weaver asked how the hourly rate compares with the other proposals. Jankowski explained all <br />proposals had a primary contact person and supporting staff and inmost cases, the hourly rate was <br />within the $65 to $70 range with support staff in the high $40 range. Jankowski reviewed the names <br />of the seven firms which submitted proposals. <br />Schultz stated he also reviewed the RFP's and is comfortable with retaining Ban Engineering. . <br />Motion by Weaver, seconded by Ferguson, to reappoint Barr Engineering as the LRRWMO <br />consulting engineer for 1996-1997. Vote: 4 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. <br />
