• LRRWMO Meeting Minutes
May 16, 1996
Page 3
Approve Annual Retort
The LRRWMO reviewed the final draft of the Ammual Report. The Administrative Secretary
reviewed the additions since the last month which included the details of Anoka's curb painting efforts
and the permit update provided by Barr Engineering.
Motion was made by Weaver, seconded by Haas, to approve the 1995 Annual Report and
direct the Administrative Secretary to submit it to BWSR Vote: 3 ayes, 0 nays. Motion
carried.
Review Barr Engineerins Estimate to Review Plan Update
The LRRWMO reviewed Bob Obermeyer's letter indicating an estimate not to exceed $2,000 to
review the Plan update. Jankowski reviewed the LRRWMO considered using a different consultant
to prepare the Plan update to obtain a different perspective and he feels the estimate for review by
Barr Engineering is reasonable.
• Weaver asked if this review is required by State Statutes or needed. Haas pointed out BW SR and
other State agencies will be reviewing the Plan update at no charge.
Jankowski stated members also need to do a more detailed review of the Plan.
Schultz supported a review by Barr since they have more experience regarding the LRRWMO
jurisdiction than SEH. He explained he does not have the time to complete a detailed review of the
Plan and it is important to obtain an outside view.
Knutson noted the LRRWMO will be considering RFP's for engineering services and what ever
company is chosen, they will need to know what the Plan includes since they would be responsible
for implementation. Jankowski agreed.
In response to Haas' question if there was a concern about the cost, Weaver asked if it was originally
determined to have Barr Engineering review the plan. Knutson stated this was anticipated even
though a dollar amount was not determined.
Schultz noted the comment by Barr Engineering about this cost being covered by the new matching
grant. Knutson stated he did include an amount of $2,500 just in case the LRRWMO decides to
approve the review.
• Jankowski agreed there will be some costs involved with updating the LRRWMO engineer about
what the Plan includes and this expense would be grant eligible.
Weaver noted this review should be completed prior to submission to B WSR. Haas asked if this will
resulting in missing the Plan update submittal deadline.
